i want to preface this quote, given by one of the leaders of my faith (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, aka: Mormon) that we members dont ONLY use this text (scripture), we also have the King James version of the Bible (and additional scripture as well). TOGETHER, HAND-IN-HAND we learn about the Lord, and His ministry on this earth.
we believe that the Book of Mormon is scripture, as well as the Bible.
people who dont understand our faith, and criticize us, because we have extra text, never truthfully see we try to be as Christ-like as we can be while in this mortal state of being among the rest of the world.
were told, often, by non members (people of different faiths) were NOT Christian.
i want to set that record straight.
WE ARE!
but, we are also, still very human.
i hope that by sharing what i can and do with you through blogging, that you can see my faith Does believe in the SAME Jesus Christ as the main Christian faiths do.
i hope by blogging, you can see my faith believes in the SAME God, as we ALL have, regardless of name, or religion.

A Testament of Jesus Christ
06 Oct 2009
“The Book of Mormon has been at the center of missionary work since the gospel was restored through the Prophet Joseph. We use it every day in missionary work.
One fact about the Book of Mormon being the key to power in each part of missionary work is this: the Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ.
The title page tells us that.
It says that the purpose of the book is to show what great things the Lord has done for His people, to help them know that the covenants the Lord has made with His people are still in force, and to convince all people that Jesus is the Christ.”
