i am always looking for my father.
youd think with the internet being such a esource of information, finding this man would be easy.
it has proven to be just as frustrating online as it has been without the net.
ive been on Genealogy.com for a little while. and knew about their forum for the manning family.
i just did a search on google for MANNING forums, because i feel, its as good a shot as any of them..

theres not allot of info i have. i never knew him. but id like to be able to complete my family tree. it looks like a dead tree with one half blossomed out to thr 14th century, and my dads half...well, theres just a leaf hanging there.
NAME: Robert Alan Manning
LOOKS: blond Blue Eyed. Tall & Thin from his pictures i have. at least 5'10"-6 feet.
BORN: im estimating roughly 1033-34 (i could be off) he was a bit older than my mom, and she was born in 35.
WHERE: my birth certificate says : Hong Kong, but my mother said he lied about that, and it was actually...San Francisco.
JOB: my birth cert also has another lie. he told the nurses he was a Director in Motion Pictures, but in fact i believe my mother told me he was MAINTENANCE at the movie studios.
MILITARY: he was supposedly also, in the army.
FAMILY:
MOTHER: name unknown, was supposed to have been married ALLOT when he was growing up.
FATHER: was in the military, and committed suicide somewhere in texas.
SIBLINGS: a half brother names: Jessie/Jesse/Jessy
WIVES: yes! and divorced from none!
a woman in utah, with 3 boys
a woman in los angeles california with a daughter, there names are either : LINDA & CHERYL, or CHERYL & LINDA
and my mom Gay Joanne Manning and me Michelle Alane Manning
and thats as far back as 69-1970. beyond that i have no idea.
LIVED: in California in the years 1966-1969 (may have been longer, but after i turned 2, he was never heard from again)
ive looked on every family history data base i can think of, and i have NO idea where he is, or why i cant locate him on any family tree.
any information, leading me to him, would be helpful. thank you, MICHELLE
never know, maybe someone will know something, or have a small lead for me to follow. couldnt hurt. just help.
